PUB HANGS & GRUBS WITH THE GANG

Oh man, oh man: I am so behind on blogging. Luckily, one of my resolutions for the new year is to stay on top of things, which includes blogging. So instead of a very long post about every single detail about the last few weeks, I decided to try something new: write my blog in bullet points sharing my favourite memories since my last blog post aka PARIS (where you can read HERE).

Here goes nothing:

  • Katie and I went to a concert last minute to go see Port Isla when they were in town! All of the openers were UH-MAZIIING, it was a wonderful night of lovely music and sharing a pint of cider with my buddy!
  • Spent my birthday weekend in Barcelona, Spain with Kate, Chelsea, and Katie. Met tons of amazing people some from Australia, France, and even SEATTLE, WASHINGTON. PNW REPRESENT!!! I made a steller story where I expand more about my trip via photos (click steller to check it out)
  • I turned T W E N T Y oh should I say, twen-TEEN.
  • I went ice skating with some of my closest friends at The Royal Pavilion for my birthday and then we went to the Hobgoblin for some drinks. It was a perfect way to spend my first day of being 20.
  • I went saw Mockingjay with Katelyn, Micah, Jenn, Hannah, Katie, Crystal and Julia.
  • Found a really sweet bookstore during a mini-shoot with Brooke :)
  • Spent the day in London for Tiana's 21st birthday. We ate yummy breakfast at the train station, went to Baker St., saw the streets of London dressed up for the holidays, did lots of wandering, and we barley missed seeing youtuber, Charlie also known as charliesocoollike.
  • Got a random package full of stuff from the states that I have been looking forward too with my new glasses from Warby Parker, sriracha, ranch, my favorite popcorn, birthday cards, etc.
  • Had a Local Wolves shoot with the amazing local band, NÖME, at the Pergola and Hill Garden in Hampstead Heath just outside of London (I recommend going there if you have some time) and I had my lovely assistants Tiana and Katie join me on this adventure.
  • I finally got my red phone booth picture in Hampstead Heath!!!
  • To kill some time before heading back to Brighton, we found a diner in town and grabbed some dinner. IT WAS SOOOO GOOD.
  • Spent Thanksgiving with all of the USAC people and everyone from the study abroad group. It was really neat to share this holiday with people who don't celebrate it. Also, being able to try everyone's speciality dish was really great (I made my devilled eggs that I make every year).
  • Woke up at noon, had some Thanksgiving leftovers with Hannah, Katelyn, Jenn, Julia, and Evan. After we ate, we went on a spontaneous walk to the hills and ended up in a sweet cemetery where I saw a tombstone from the early 1700's!
  • Ran some errands downtown with Hannah. It was a great day of conversation and laughter. We also tried out 42 Juice in town and it was sooooo good (DEFINITELY go there if you ever got the time).
  • Did some laundry which resulted me spending about £5!!! It didn't even dry.. :( Thank goodness for Roxane's dryer rack.
  • Made a bomb vanilla cake, with vanilla frosting, covered in strawberries & raspberries for Magli's 21st birthday. We surprised her with it, had a mini celebration with a few others sharing the cake and drinking wine.
  • Took everyone's portraits in the study abroad group for a mini project I wanted to do with them. Even though I had technical difficulties with Photoshop and saving the project, I am really happy how they turned out.
  • Late night hangs with Daniel and Chelsea were always my favourite, had many of these actually. We talked about the most ridiculous stuff and laughed until our stomachs hurt.
  • Got several people together to do the Secret Santa reveal! Everyone was pretty happy on what they got from their Santa's. Funny thing was that Katie and I got each other and we had no idea. <33
  • Went to the last Tequila Tuesday with everyone and last late night burgers & fries with everyone. It being the last pub hang and grubs with the gang made me quite sad.
  • Shared a really bomb cake that Dan got Chelsea for Secret Santa and we ate it in record time. #fatty
  • Had our last British Cultures class where we all shared our group presentations than joined together for the Farewell Tea that Becca and Mary kindly put together. Jenn had the great idea of doing superlatives for everyone and I got "Most likely to move abroad". ;)
  • The girls of Flat 31B threw a going away party! It was so much fun but it was a little bittersweet because I had to say goodbye to so many lovely individuals that night.
  • Had a last late night hang with Chelsea and Daniel. This night Shontay and Jamal joined in and it was a night that I wont forget. Again, lots of laughter and conversation.
  • The following day, it was time for me to fly home for the holidays. SO BITTERSWEET.
  • I was picked up at the airport and my first meal of being back was a crunchwrap with a baja blast from TacoBell.
  • Although I was hella jetlagged, I went on an adventure to the glorious mt. Rainer joined with Michelle, Colby, and Ashley. IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL and I even got to play in the snow except no one wanted to build a snowman with me. :( Also afterwards, Colby bought me dinner and it was really nice of him to do so. x
  • Got to celebrate Isabelle's 19th birthday at her house with her family, Selena and Kev. :)
  • Hung out with the Hudak's which is always a blast!!!
  • Had an art day at Anthem with Jeanne AND finally got a proper vanilla chai tea latte. Great day of conversation and hangage.
  • DAD CAME HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS FROM AFGHANISTAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Went to Vancouver, BC with the family and it was Cameron's first time leaving the country (next is London, heh). We ate lots of food and rode the watertaxi.
  • Lots of family time, which I quite enjoyed. x
  • Got to go to the Hudak's household for their holiday party. I always feel so welcomed over there.
  • Got to shoot the lovely Sarah D. where I was also accompanied with Colby. We had a lovely meal at The Hub, and I even got to see Danny for a little bit.
  • Hung out with Kristina!! I haven't seen her in ages. Together we drove to Puyallup to watch Cameron get his pictures with Santa. SO adorable.
  • Was supposed to go on a photo adventure with Isabelle but it ended up just wandering around the forest and going to Ikea. I missed hanging with her.
  • Family time for Christmas Eve and Christmas. x
  • Lost in a game of cards with the Hudaks.
  • Went on an adventure to The Big Four Ice Caves with Kevin, Ranan, Jon, Sarah, and Isabelle. Jammed hella on the way up and had a great time exploring the caves and playing in the snow with the gang. I almost forgot to mention that we missed two avalanches by TWENTY MINUTES!!!! #whathefog
  • Some of the Oregon Family came up to visit. :) Elizabeth (my cousin) spent the night, which was nice. We had lots of meals together.
  • I got to hang out with Ester. <333
  • I felt like my Christmas break went by so fast. O_o I will miss my #1 cuddle buddy.
  • I flew back to England but this time it was going to be different because I WILL BE SEEING KATARIINA (my friend from Finland, who I met in Las Vegas on her exchange year).
  • I got to spend New Years Eve with Hannah, Christofer, Evan, and Kata where we played some card games and had a drink together in the infamous flat 30C. We hopped on a bus to head to the city, where we had a blast! People were lighting off fireworks, having bonfires, drinking straight from the bottles straight on the beach! Even strangers came up to us wishing us a Happy New Year and gave us hugs. I am really happy that I got to spend it with these lovely individuals.
  • KATIE AND TIANA ARE FINALLY BACK! Katie also got me this sweet lens kit for my iphone!!! Its wicked.
  • A new friend that I met in Barcelona aka Noel, happened to be in London and came down to Brighton to visit Katie and I.
  • Spent the day exploring London, re-seeing the tourist spots with Katariina. Had a bump in the road where I lost my travelcard which resulted in me buying another one where I almost got ripped off. UGH. BUT, overall, it was a great day with Kat.
  • Spent the day in Brighton, exploring the shops with Katariina and I took her to have some grubbs. :)
  • Had tea and scones at "The Tea Shop in the Lanes" with Kata before she left.
  • Took a stroll down the boardwalk and pier before I dropped Katariina at the coach station.
  • Spent yesterday and today watching up on school work, did some cleaning, and planning for this year.
That is really all I have to say for now, but I will be posting another blog sometime this week sharing my over all experience within the last few months and some of my new year's goals, as well as a new youtube video. I did actually post a video the other night with some clips from the last few months where you can watch if you clip the word eggplant. Happy Monday everyone, dream big! Cheers. x
